We have had a new baby boy added to our family. His name is EliYah. He was born November 6th 2011. He was a big boy at 12 pounds and 15.5 ounces. We are excited to welcome him to our family. We have 8 children now. God is awesome!
I have opened a new computer repair shop in El Dorado, AR and we are strugling to get that going so that we can have some stable income again. Prayers are welcome and asked for. We are eager to have you contact us with your questions.
We wil be starting a blog obout our daily afairs. We hope that it encourages and even just helps you to get to know us. You can expect to find that added to our site in the next couple of weeks.
YHWHs.com has been started to reach out to the world to locate true disciples. We are a family with seven children located in Spearsville, Lousisiana. We spend most of our time looking at Scripture, history and early Christian literature so that we may be able to imitate the things we have found in the first century body of Christ. We also are hoping to better equip ourselves so that we may be able to see God's people when we find them.
Our family has been pursuing the Way and challenging our own traditional teachings and ideas for over 10 years now. Brandi was baptized in October of 2000 and Paul was baptized in June of 1990. We have been married for 12 years as of July 20th of this year. (2010)
Our hope is to find other disciples and form a community of disciples on a large piece of land in the Ozarks somewhere. We are hoping to be self dependant and be able to live off of the land. We want to follow the advice of scripture concerning leading a quiet life. We currently are building up a small parcel (20 acres) to be a place we can work together as a family.
We are in prayer often that God will provide a land flowing with milk and honey for our families and the generations to come. We are hoping to be able to work with our hands and earn the respect of outsiders. We want to live our lives to bring glory to YWHH and live our lives through Jesus Christ.
Our convictions grow and change as we do and God shows us more of his wonderful Word. We have not "arrived" in our convictions and we hope that our children will continue to grow in Christ and the Word of God.
A friend of mine has recently pointed out that I lack much in fruit.(Actually i think he was implying all fruit but I am not sure) While I work and pray to pursue perfection in Christ I do have areas which are not perfect and I will continue to grow in those.I do not want to missrepresent myself with this web site as a all knowing and totally righteous man. Our family just wants to fellowship with others who have the same goals in pleasing God. Please do not feel that I am representing myself as something or someone who is a Great teacher or Apostles or something. I just want to work toward enjoying what God has paid such a high price to give His disciples.
We realize that there are other disciples out there somewhere and we continually look for them. It is our conviction that we need to be gracious about differences in conviction which are not "sins which lead to death." Criticism of ideas which are areas of growth or maturity lead to division and distruction. We have seen enough of those in our walk.
We hope to find more family as we reach out. We have a consistant outreach from our home where we offer help to those in need and studies for anyone any time. We have bible studies in our home usually on Tuesday and Thursday. We spend Saturdays together as a family day.
It is our conviction that disciples will want to live with each other in a community and share all things with eachother. (A communal life so to speak)
